POLICE SEEK HELP IN FRAUD CASE
On Aug. 11, 2014, the Middletown Police Department began a fraud investigation after a Middletown resident reported unauthorized transaction to her bank account.
The Middletown Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the subject in the photograph at left.
The attached surveillance footage is of a person of interest in this investigation.

‘RAD for Seniors’ to be held at
M.O.T. Senior Center for 10 weeks
Program to inform 55-and-overs about trending safety concerns
The Middletown Police Department will be hosting a special “RAD for Seniors” program for men and women 55-and-over starting on Wednesday, Sept. 10. RAD stands for “Resisting Aggression with Defense.”
The classes will be held at the M.O.T. Jean Birch Senior Center, 300 S. Scott St., Middletown. Classes will be held on Wednesdays, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., for 10 weeks, Sept. 10 through Nov. 19. (No class to be held on Sept. 17). The classes are free and open to the public.
Pre-registration is not required – attendees may just show up at the seminars.
Some of the topics to be covered during the classes include: Home risk reduction, cell phone usage, traveling alone, out-and-about risk reduction, identity theft risk reduction, medicine management and theft, financial scams and fraud, reverse mortgage scams, Internet scams, handling emergencies, sexual assault and rape, disaster preparedness and public transportation safety.
