Budget Billing

On June 1, the Town of Middletown launched a budget billing program for utility payments.

Budget billing allows residents to iron-out fluctuations that affect monthly bill payments throughout the year, thus making it easier for them to plan expenses.

Eligible residents will have the ability to make fixed monthly payments based on the average of their previous 12 months of utility bills.

Requirements
  • resident must have at least a 12-month history at their present location
  • must be enrolled in preauthorized payments
  • account has to start budget with a zero balance
  • cannot have more than 2 credit events in the last 6 months*

A Preauthorization Form needs to be completed with "Budget Program" written across the top of the form. Once enrolled, you will receive a letter stating what your budget amount will be for the year.

Anyone who is already enrolled in preauthorization that wants to participate in the budget program, please call Kelly at 378-2711.
