Drug arrest in local convenience store parking lot

On Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at about 3:15 a.m., MPD officers DiGati and Stafford observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of a convenience store at 528 W. Main Street, Middletown. The operator of the vehicle appeared to be asleep with her head resting on the steering wheel, while the vehicle was running.
Officers identified the operator as Janet Linderman, 32, of Weston Drive, Middletown. During the course of the investigative stop, Ms. Linderman advised the officers she was in possession of a single Percocet tablet. She then consented to a search of the vehicle which produced 18 individual baggies containing approximately 1 gram of Heroin. Officers also located a single syringe.
Linderman was transported to MPD without incident. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a Tier I quantity; possession of a prescription drug withouth a prescription; and possession of drug paraphernalia and was released on $3,000 un-secured bond.
