|Date:||January 23, 2012|
On Saturday, Jan. 23, at 12:21 a.m., Middletown Police, along with officers of the New Castle County and Delaware State Police, responded to 14 S. Broad St., in Middletown, for a report of an assault that had taken place during a private party hosted at the Boys and Girls Club of Middletown. This event was sponsored by the Thunderguards Motorcycle Club.
Upon arrival, police located four separate victims, who sustained a variety of injuries as a result of their being assaulted by as many as 10 subjects. One victim was rendered unconscious as a result of the attack, and remains at the Christiana Hospital recovering from a severe concussion.
Attendees of the event have been less than cooperative with the investigation, which has hampered the efforts of the police to identify the suspects.
Police are unsure of the specific motive for the assault, and are seeking the public’s help with identifying possible witnesses or suspects.
