Copper wire thief nabbed by MPD detectives

  Thomas Farrow The Middletown Police Department has been investigating the recent theft of copper wire. Three separate incidents from the Levels Road area had been reported since the beginning of February 2012. The thefts had a total loss of approximately $20,000.

   On Feb. 23, Detectives from the Middletown Police Department conducted surveillance in the area and at approximately 11:23 p.m., they observed a subject later identified as Thomas Donald Farrow, 32, of Bear, enter onto town property and detectives observed him removing copper wire. Farrow was taken into custody without incident. Farrow was subsequently charged with four counts of theft, one count of criminal mischief, and one count of criminal trespass. Farrow was arraigned and released on $2,000 secured bond.
