Attempted murder suspect turns self in, charged

On June 25, Michael Thomas, 18, of the 100 block of East Lockwood St., Middletown, turned himself in at the Wilmington Police Department. He was wanted for the attempted murder of an 18-year-old Middletown man during a shooting. The charge of attempted murder was authorized after a meeting with the Attorney General’s Office on June 18. Thomas was arraigned at the Middletown Police Headquarters and the arraignment disposition is pending.
On June 16, at about 11:30 p.m., Officers from the Middletown Police Department were dispatched to the 400 Block of North Broad Street, Middletown, for a shooting that just occurred.
The 18-year-old victim was transported to the Christiana Medical Center E.R., where he was treated and later released with a single gunshot wound.
