Juvenile from Wilmington charged with burglary in Middletown

   On Aug. 14, at about 1 p.m., Middletown Police responded to a complaint of an unknown male attempting to gain entry to a residence in the 500 block of N. Rammuno Drive in Middletown.

   As Officers arrived, they discovered a damaged basement window, and observed a male inside the residence who refused to comply with the officers' commands. 

   Officers quickly established a perimeter around the residence. The male exited the residence through a different window and attempted to flee on foot.  After a short foot chase, the 15-year-old male from Wilmington was taken into custody.

   The suspect was charged with burglary second degree, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief over $1,000, and was given a $10,000 secured bond after arraignment. He was turned over to the New Castle County Police for processing on outstanding criminal warrants he had for that agency.
