Aggravated menacing arrest

On Dec. 1, 2013, at about 2:40 a.m., Middletown Police officers were dispatched to the employee parking lot of the Amazon building, 560 Merrimac Ave., for the report of a subject who threatened a security guard with a weapon. Investigation revealed that Jarryl Peterson, 26, of Cannon Drive, Wilmington, apparently brandished what appeared to be a handgun and threatened to shoot an Amazon employee subsequent to a verbal argument for traveling too fast through the parking lot. Peterson was charged and released after posting bail.
