Walmart employee charged with bomb threat

On Wednesday Nov. 12, 2014, at about 7 p.m., the Middletown Police Department arrested Leeann Logan, 26, of Townsend, for making the early morning Walmart bomb threat.
The investigation revealed that Logan who is an employee wrote the message and later reported finding it to management.
Logan was arraigned on one count of terroristic threatening, false statement to cause evacuation of a building. This charge is a Class G Felony. Logan was released on $2,000 unsecured bond and ordered to have no contact with Walmart.
At about 4:36 a.m., Middletown Police responded to the Walmart at 705 Middletown Warwick Road in reference to a reported bomb threat. Walmart staff discovered a written message in one of the bathrooms stating, the threat. The store was evacuated.
New Castle County Police K-9 units assisted with the search of the store which was negative.
The store was closed for approximately three hours.
