Middletown man charged with terroristic threatening

On Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, Middletown Police responded to the Walmart located at 705 Middletown-Warwick Road in reference to a report of a threat that was made via the internet.
The investigation revealed that an unknown subject posted that they were “about to shoot up the Middletown Walmart”.
Detectives were able to determine that Tyler Hubbard, 20, of Beckington Court, Middletown had posted the remark. Warrants were obtained for Hubbard for one count of Terroristic Threatening.
On Dec. 25, Hubbard turned himself in at the Middletown Police Headquarters. He was processed, arraigned and was released after posting a $1,000 secured bond. Hubbard was also ordered to have no contact with Walmart.
