Bomb threat at Amazon

Date: February 9, 2015

On Feb. 8, 2015, at about 1:37 p.m., Middletown Police responded to Amazon.com, 560 Merrimac Ave., Middletown, for a reported bomb threat. 

Amazon staff discovered a written threat pertaining to a bomb and the building was evacuated.

Middletown Police, assisted by New Castle County and Delaware State Police K-9 officers conducted a building search.

After the search, Amazon management brought their employees back into the building.
