On July 31, 2015, at about 10 p.m., Middletown Police were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Lockwood Street for the report of a heroin overdose. Officers were responding to a 27-year-old female who was unresponsive and was turning blue. Officers arrived on scene and observed the female, who was unresponsive, laying on the living room floor of the residence. Investigation on scene indicated the female was overdosing on heroin. Based on this, OFC Fabbroni utilized her department-issued Nasal Naloxone (Narcan) kit and administered it to the female. The female regained consciousness and began to breathe regularly.
The female was turned over to the New Castle County Paramedics. The female was then transported to Middletown Emergency by Middletown Volunteer Hose Company ambulance for treatment.
