Carjacking at 301 Plaza

Date: December 23, 2015

The Middletown Police Department responded to the Rt. 301 Truck Plaza on Thursday December 10, 2015, at about 4:54 p.m. in reference to a carjacking. An unknown, 25-to-35-year-old, dark-skinned black male, with a mustache, described as having a medium build, about 6-feet, 200 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a dark hoodie, entered and removed a 2012 Chevrolet Impala 4-door, silver, with damage to the front passenger quarter panel, and dark tinted windows bearing DE registration 63160. The vehicle was occupied by a seven-year-old child, while the mother was inside of store. The seven year old escaped from the vehicle as it was fleeing out of the parking lot. The vehicle then fled south on U.S. 301 into Maryland. The child sustained a head injury and was treated and released from AI Dupont Hospital.
