Middletown Peach Festival TRAFFIC ALERT

On August 18, 2018, the Town of Middletown will be hosting the 25th Annual Olde-Tyme Peach Festival. This event will kick off with a parade that will commence at 8:30 a.m. until approximately 11 a.m. The event and parade will impact traffic in several local areas.  Please plan accordingly. Only emergency personnel will be able to access.  Detours will be present and marked on locations.

South Broad Street will be closed from 8:30 to 11 a.m. between St. Annes Church Road  and Main Street. No thru traffic, but residents will be allowed access to their homes ONLY, but not past Arcadia Pkwy.  There will be no further  access on S. Broad Street from this point.

E. Main St- Closed 8:30 to 11 a.m. between Broad and Catherine Streets.

W. Main St- Closed 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. between Broad and S. Scott Streets

North Broad St- All traffic exiting side streets onto N. Broad Street between Main Street and Lake Street will be directed northbound.  You will be able to turn westbound on Lake Street to Wood Street to West Main Street or east on Lake Street to New Street to Main Street to proceed eastbound.  Thru traffic will not be permitted southbound.

Silver Lake Elementary- Anyone exiting this area for the 5K must proceed north on Catherine Street and will be directed east on Main Street unless you are a resident that lives south of Main Street and east of Broad Street.  **** You will not be able to cross over Broad Street from this area.  Your only way out is to take the above listed route and once the parade approaches Catherine Street from Main Street, you will not be able to pass E. Green Street from the school and will need to remain there until the conclusion of the parade.  

***There will be no access to E. Main Street during the parade – A resident who resides on the north side of Main Street and east side of Broad Street – You will need to exit either northbound only on Broad Street or northbound on Cox Street and Catherine Street to Lake Street.   Cox and Main Street will be closed. Please ensure you follow normal one-way streets.
