A much needed walkway added Need Middletown's history?
Comfortable park benches were installed on West Main Street last week, adding to the beauty of the brand new streetscape downtown. Now, residents and visitors alike can take a moment to enjoy the scenery downtown. A new brick walkway was added to the streetscape project downtown. This walkway will make it much easier for pedestrians to get to the Main Street sidewalks from the popular municipal parking areas near Town Hall and Forest Presbyterian Church. Have you noticed the trees and tree grates that were added to the streetscape, along with the benches? Just imagine how nice these will look in the spring and summer! The streetscape project has helped emphasize some of the historic landmarks that were already downtown. This sign, which has been located on Cochran Square for years, is now more pronounced due to the beauty surrounding it.
