Levels Road Park open again

Levels Road Park, including the popular "Dog Park" opened to the public on Saturday, March 6. The park was closed for a few weeks after the February blizzards -- the snowmelt caused extremely muddy conditions. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.

Census 2010 is coming up. Are you ready?

In 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau will count every person living in our nation. Completing your census form helps ensure your community gets its share of funding for essential services.
The information you provide is safe. By law, the Census Bureau cannot share respondents’ answers with anyone, including other federal agencies and law enforcement entities.
The 2010 Census. It’s easy, important and safe, and your participation is vital. Watch for your census form to arrive in March. We move forward when you send it back. To learn more, visit www.2010census.gov.

Security Alarms must be registered
in Town of Middletown
Click here to download/print registration form

The Middletown Police Department is asking all residents and businesses to register your home and business security alarms with us. Did you know there are more than 1,000 “false” alarms each year in the Town of Middletown? This means our police officers are spending time responding to false security alarm calls, when they could be addressing other crime issues in Town.

Due to this issue, the Mayor and Council of Middletown recently passed an ordinance REQUIRING all Middletown security alarms to be registered. If you do not register your alarm, you will receive a fine from our police department if they have to respond to your home or business for a false alarm. If you DO register your security alarm, you get several chances for a false alarm before being fined. If you do not own a security alarm system at this time, please disregard this form. If you do purchase a security alarm in the future, please contact the Town for a registration form at that time.

You will receive an alarm registration form in your January Town of Middletown utility bill that you can fill out and send back to us with your monthly payment. You may also register by downloading and printing a form at www.middletownpd.us or www.middletownde.org. Or, you may stop by Town Hall, 19 W. Green St., to pick up a form. This new policy goes into effect in March. For more information, call Kristen Krenzer at 378-2711.

Water fountains
in Dog Park
turned off for season

To make sure the water fountain pipes do not freeze during the winter months, the dog and people water fountains at the Levels Road Dog Park have been turned off for the season. The fountains will be turned back on when the weather breaks, probably around March 1. We apologize for any inconvenience to our dog park users.

LEVELS ROAD PARK IS OPEN DAILY

FROM SUNRISE TO SUNSET.
