In an effort to keep our environment and streets clean the Street Department at Public Works would like to urge the residents of Middletown to adopt environmentally friendly grass practices. For example, the practice of leaving grass clippings on lawns (mulching) or composting to help alleviate the amount of grass being placed at curbside to be picked up. If you are unable to mulch or compost please place your grass clippings into orderly piles along the curb for pick up. Keep all grass clippings separate from other yard waste. DO NOT PLACE GRASS IN BAGS as this will not be picked up.
The Street Department will not pick up sod, stumps, dirt, animal waste or any other material considered trash.
Chippable material such as tree limbs, branches, small bushes and sticks will also be picked up at curbside.
